Life Lesson(s)…
Acts 9 reflects how the individuals from Saul (Paul) to Tabitha (Dorcas) are chosen instruments of the Lord. Chosen for a particular purpose to carry His name and spread the Good News through what was done to and/or through each of them.
Throughout Acts 9, the conversion and discipleship of Saul is detailed. After the Lord's spectacular choosing of Saul, Acts 9 details how Saul arises (with the Lord's assistance) to overcome the challenges he had to deal with to fulfill his heavenly assignment. This is also true for the other persons introduced and arising from whatever situation upon the name of the Lord. Look at the Lord's miraculous signs and wonders through and to the persons of: (i) Ananias, (ii) Peter, (iii) Aeneas, and (iv) Tabitha (Dorcas).
These chosen individuals and their rising above the circumstances upon Jesus' name increased the faith of believers and the number of believers. The church, or assembly of believers, grew as did the faith – especially in Judea, Galilee, Samaria, Lydda, Sharon and Joppa.
