Life Lesson(s)…
God's plans never go unfulfilled. Despite any and all obstacles that might come against the Lord's ultimate goal for a person who has accepted his God-given assignment, the Lord is with the person guiding and preparing him with what is to happen on the journey until the assignment is completed.
As Luke detailed Paul's journey to "appeal" to Caesar in Acts 27, difficulties in the journey were not solely the blame of the people involved with the transfer and transport to Rome. Acts 27 also details the difficulty coming from the natural elements. Nevertheless, God came through for all people on Paul's journey.
From the Lord's first warning by Paul found in verse 10, the centurion-the one with authority- had an opportunity to choose wisely based on Paul's warning. After ignoring the Lord's warning through Paul, the turbulent natural elements put the fear of the Lord in the centurion. When Paul prophesied the second time about what was to come according to the angelic visitation that he had, the centurion listened to the Lord's warning that all lives would be spared so long as they were in it together. The Lord decided to spare their lives because of Paul's prayers and petition.
Your Thoughts…
Study, contemplate and pray for revelation about the following:
Do you have a relationship with the Lord? How well do you know him? What do you do to know Adonai better? Think about your relationships with friends and family. What did you have to do to get to know each person better? Apply the same principles to getting to know God Almighty in his triune form. How would it look to get to know the Father? Jesus? The Holy Spirit?
Do you think God knows you well? Do you believe you have an assignment that God wants you to accept from him? Did you accept it? If you accepted the assignment, what was it? Have you had an easy time accomplishing it? What bumps or obstacles occurred on this assignment? Did you feel God with you? Did He help you accomplish the assignment?
Consider 1 John 4:1-6, how do these verses apply to Acts 27? How do you apply it in your life?

Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss. Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
