To quickly summarize, we've studied the parable's reference to the trampled ground of the path and the thorny soil over the last twelve weeks. As a refresher, please read the parable in its entirety from Luke 8:4-15 or Matthew 13:1-23. Again, if you read both, you'll get more out of it given the different perspectives of Matthew and Luke. We're in the final stretch of the parable's discussion: the good soil.
Consider the following:
With good soil and precise environmental factors, what happens to seeds that grow and reach maturity? How would you describe such a harvest?
In terms of Biblical study, have you had any moment where you "hear[d] the word and [understood] it"? Were you able to apply it to your life?
With good soil, do you think there is more intentionality with your words or deeds? More order and less chaos in your life?
Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.…As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.
